You don't find a PRCA called a flying computer wing-dingy in a Japanese flight manual just because its being flown in another country. I think you're over-thinking this.with anything else perhaps multiple languages there might be common things called different things.but you're forgetting the basic premise here.there's only one manufacturer of the McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) F-15 Eagle.and the tech data doesn't switch terms of componants -nor use different phrases interchangably. That sounds good but I always get a kick out of civilians that do not have any hands on experience with the real thing stating things as fact, and generally acting like an authority on even mundane little details like this. Case from IRL (personal experience) also that there's french, german and italian speaking engineers and finnish and/or swedish speaking operators.Įr.no.not correct.

If it's the users (pilots) they have one, mechanics and service personnel another and engineers/system designers have third one.Īlso it's not uncommon to have different terminology based on what language you speak natively just to avoid confusion in some group. Terminology always differs depending on who you ask. As I said, I work on this system IRL very frequently. I know this now, I didn't realize they were just breaking out single aircraft from the old FC3 game without actually making it a full-fledged simulator the product page at the time didn't make it very obvious that it wasn’t a full simulator.Ĥ) Perhaps you should bone up on your terminology, CAS stands for 'Control Augmentation System'. Wow did you push up your glasses when you typed that?ġ) Don’t know why you start with, "Again".I wasn't previously being spoken to as I had just randomly landed on this threadĢ) Sorry I didn't re-familiarize myself with the 'Product Terms' page before mistakenly referring in a general nature to the fidelity of the aircraft simulation as a wholeģ) Obviously the systems weren't modeled. so i'm stoked to see above they are working on a full module? I suppose we will have to pay for that one like it was a brand new add-on, even if we purchased the FC3 version? anyone know? Īgain, the *flight model* is fully modeled, *SYSTEMS* are not fully modeled.ĪFM/PFM means flight model, SSM/ASM are systems model meaning interactive cockpit, radios, displays etc. Originally posted by mobias:I stupidly bought the F-15C thinking it was a full fledged flight model, very dissapointed when i tried clicking buttons on the dash! heh.
